The Oxfordshire NonPrincipals Group was founded by Tom Nichols in 2008 to reduce isolation between nonprincipal GPs, to share work opportunities and improve communication between organisations including practices and the PCT with GPs who are otherwise hard to reach.

One of the major roles of the web based Database of doctors is to allow GP Practices to advertise Locum jobs.

NonPrincipals (otherwise known as Sessional GPs) includes
Locum GPs
Salaried GPs and other employed GPs such as Retainers
GPs who just work Out of Hours
GP Registrars and Specialist Registrars
